CNEP launches on Dec 10
CNEP launches on Dec 10 with a full-day retreat in the Brazilian Room of Berkeley's beautiful Tilden Park. This is a full-day event with research updates from both campuses, reviewing our educational mission, and hearing from invited speakers from foundation and industry leaders.
Mission Statement
The Center for Neural Engineering and Prostheses (CNEP) at UC Berkeley and San Francisco integrates cutting-edge engineering with world-class basic and clinical neurosciences to develop technology to restore sensory, motor, and cognitive function in patients suffering from disabling neurological conditions.
Our mission is to create a multi-disciplinary environment for 1) training future neural engineers and clinicians; 2) scientific research and neural prosthetic technology development; and 3) efficient translation of research into human clinical trials.
